Robin’s Ride, founded by Robin Isenberg and her son Keith Isenberg, is dedicated to raising awareness for ovarian cancer, often referred to as the cancer that whispers. Robin Isenberg, a beloved Mother, Wife, and co-owner of Blood, Sweat, Gears, Cycle and Skate, faced her diagnosis on May 1st, 2012, bravely fighting for three and a half years before passing away on August 9th, 2015.
In partnership with Teal Butterfly Ovarian Cancer Awareness, we strive to educate our community and support women undergoing treatment for gynecological cancers by assembling and distributing "butterfly boxes".
Ovarian cancer lacks a screening test, a cure, and receives limited research funding. However, early detection significantly improves survival rates. It's crucial for women to listen to their bodies, recognize symptoms, and understand that knowledge is empowering. Identifying ovarian cancer symptoms promptly can lead to earlier diagnosis, nearly doubling survival chances. It's imperative to educate ourselves and future generations.
Robins vision - Less tears. More Hope.
Each year, the event has experienced exponential growth. By 2021, it became evident that our previous venue could no longer accommodate us, prompting us to search for a new location. RRFH has proudly partnered with the Mt. Holly Farmers Market and the Town of Mt. Holly to deliver an great event experience. We will be leaving from the farmers market with a police escort out of town.
